Struktura linii produkcyjnej odzwierciedla rozmieszczenie przestrzenne modułów technologicznych powiązanych systemem transportowym. System ten gwarantuje również czasowe rezerwowanie przez zastosowanie zasobników międzyoperacyjnych. Moduł technologiczny będąc podstawową jednostką posiada wewnętrzny system międzyoperacyjnego transportu. System ten oparty jest zwykle o stół obrotowy lub transporter liniowy.
W systemach montażowych środek transportowy jest związany z montowaną częścią od początku do końca procesu montażu. W rezultacie linia montażowa wymaga zastosowanie większej liczby środków transportu, mogą to być: transportery, wózki automatycznie kierowane (AGV), linie przesyłowe lub kombinację wymienionych urządzeń. Konieczne są tu też magazyny buforujące, miejscowe lub będące częścią systemu transportowego. Rolę bufora centralnego może spełniać transporter poruszający się po zamkniętej pętli działający w systemie magazynu AS/RS.

Abstract
The structure of the production line is reflecting spatial arranging technological modules tied together with transport system. This system is guaranteeing also temporary reserving by the application storage containers interoperation. Technological module being a basic individual has the internal interoperation system of transport.
This system is usually based against the rotational table or linear conveyor. In assembly systems transport means are associated with the assembled part from beginning to end of process of the assembly. As a result the assembly line requires applying a large number of means of transport e.g.: transporters, automatically driven trucks (AGV), transmission lines or the combination of replaced devices. Here also magazines buffering, local or being a part of the scheme are necessary transport. A personnel carrier moving all over the closed terminus can fulfil the role of the central buffer AS/RS acting in the system of the magazine. (...)
