The effective and efficient logistics systems give guarantee of the operating in such market and allow achieve benefits of scale at the same time. According to the authors the logistics systems that want to be competitive, with the thought of their future in the business, they should strive for the highest level of effectiveness and efficiency while ensuring the quality which is the way to
"excellence" of these systems. The method of numerical taxonomy and the concept of ,,excellence” logistics presented in the article will be certainly helpful in efforts to ensure the quality of logistics systems. According to the authors the methods will allow logistics system to achieve a high level of quality and also the "excellence", while ensuring the realization of its purpose at the level that ensures the highest effectiveness and efficiency. Achieving the high level of quality by logistics systems will influence on the cost reduction, customer service efficiency and give the high position in the market and will also meet the demands of competition.
