Supply chain models (including SCOR) presented in literature do not comprise the 3th and 4th Party Logistics. Consequently, they are treated as passive units, without significant influence on how materials and information flow throughout the chain. Other sources, especially devoted to logistics services, present the role of 3PLs and 4PLs inversely, as flows managing participants. The aim of survey research was to recognise the real 3PLs and 4PLs position in supply chains.
