CLIP Intermodal and Amazon Expand Intermodal Cooperation

CLIP Intermodal, in cooperation with Amazon, is increasing the number of connections on the CLIP Swarzędz–Barcelona Setemar Can Tunis route to four per week. Trains will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays – both from Poland to Spain and on the return leg.

The new services respond to Amazon’s growing operational needs in Europe and represent another step toward the development of sustainable transport. By using rail within intermodal transport, it is possible to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions – on the Swarzędz–Barcelona route, the reduction reaches up to 90% compared with traditional road transport.

Importantly, the trailers transported under this cooperation are Amazon’s first intermodal trailers deployed in Europe, marking a milestone in decarbonizing the company’s supply chain. At the same time, CLIP Intermodal is increasing the overall number of intermodal connections between Poland and Spain, meeting growing market demand and supporting the development of green logistics across the continent.

Expanding cooperation with Amazon is an important milestone for us. It shows that intermodality is not only cost-effective but also truly supports our partners’ climate goals. We are pleased to build more responsible logistics together - says Marcin Uczciwek, Commercial Director at CLIP Intermodal.

CLIP Intermodal continues to invest in infrastructure and technologies that drive the green transformation of the TSL sector. The partnership with Amazon is another step toward building modern, sustainable logistics in Europe.
